Summer Fun Part 2

Birthday Girls!  These following photos are from mine and Tabby's actual birthdays.

We began Tabitha's birthday at Groovy Automotive.  How exciting!  We had just bought a van the day before, and it was our only transportation.  We had no license plates and first needed an inspection so we were off early.

The first destination was intended for Shipley Donuts.  Yummy!

On our way around town, Tabby received a couple of birthday wishes from Daddy and grandparents.  She looked so cute on the phone!

We then headed for the children's museum.
When we got home from all the excitement (including picking Buela up from the airport), a gift was waiting for Tabby.
Gigi surprised her.  Here she is with her grandmas.

Don't forget Joshua.

Her birthday dinner was spent at Jason's Deli because there was ice cream after the meal.  Her family!

My birthday followed in August.  Here I am with the kids.  It's so hard getting a photo with them both looking and smiling.  Take 1

Take 2

Josue and I

We were at PF Chang's with Gigi, Papa, and Dustin.  It was where the pregnant birthday girl wanted to eat.  It was good, but the baby didn't think so.  Oh well!  PF Chang's once every 4 years isn't bad.

More of the summer to come!

Summer Fun- Part 1

I am very behind.  I must blame it on being pregnant.  I think I can blame everything on that right now.  Hee-hee!

This entry is dedicated to Tabitha's 3rd birthday.  It was a princess theme...Ariel to be exact.  Here's the picture from her invitation.

Everyone was invited to Tabitha's castle...her house.

The day of the party.

It began with a princess parade on a pink carpet.

Next was an Ariel water ride.

It wouldn't be a birthday party at our house without a pinata!

And to continue the tradition, Gigi finished it off.

The funniest moment for me was watching the kids gather candy.  I'm used to big kids running and grabbing as much as possible, pushing and shoving to get anything sweet.  Well, 3 and 4 year olds take their time and are very polite.  They slowly search for what they want, and kindly give to someone who needs a piece.  Loved it!

We then had princess cupcakes.  Yummy!

And the little princess opened her presents!

Summer Fun Part 2 coming soon!

A New House

The kids got a new house!  Not a real house, but a playhouse for the backyard.  It was Tabby and Joshua's birthday present from Grandpa and Auntie Jayne.

It took an entire day to install so imagine their anticipation.

At 6:00 P.M. it was ready to go, and what a blast they had.

Since it's their "house", they were calling each other "Husband" and "Wife".  They also had a baby.  Wow!  As parents, we have so much influence over our children's lives.

They also decided to sleep in their house that night.  I was playing right along with them.  They had a bath in my house, then they packed their own bags.  They also took a blanket and pillow.  They got situated, then I went inside to observe.  It was 8:57 P.M.

At 8:59 P.M.  Tabitha called for me.  Joshua was talking about snakes, which scared her.  He stopped so she stayed.

At 9:01 P.M.  Tabitha called again, asking me to stop the "noise".  It was the sound of locusts and whatever else makes noise at night.  When I told her it was the bugs that live outside, she was done!  Joshua, however, stayed.

With the little light left, he played on the playscape, and then at 9:10 P.M., he, too, was also done.

Being the Husband, Joshua also went to work the following day.  He took his lunch outside to the picnic area on the playscape and ate his lunch.

That evening was so amazing to me.  I couldn't help but smile and thank God for these children.  They are a blessing!

Our Latest Adventures

We've been busy going on many adventures.  I couldn't even tell you the last time I watched a TV show.  It's been fun!

At the end of May, we went to Arlington to watch the Cubs play the Rangers.  We also stayed with Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Keith in their new house.  It's very nice.

Josue ordered the kids a Cubs shirt and wouldn't you know they didn't arrive in time.  So I took some of my shirts, and here the kids are in them.  They looked cute!

The kids were looking forward to the cotton candy.  Their cousins are also there but it was so tight I couldn't get everyone in the picture.

In one of our free moments, Josue wanted to do something special with the kids so we went bowling at the University's Student Union.  It was so fun because hardly anyone was there, and the kids could bowl and dance all they wanted.  The pictures I have is at the turtle pond there on campus.

Tabitha's birthday is June 23, so we made invitations.  The party was last night, and it was a princess party.  Wouldn't you know that I forgot where I put my camera.  I'll send some pictures once I get ahold of my mom's.

Joshua wanted to make his invitation for his December birthday.  I guess I'm ready in advance!

Almost weekly we go to lunch with Buela, and it's usually to Chick-Fil-A.  Here's Tabitha enjoying her ice cream.

That same evening after church, Tabitha was just being a girl.  The boys played basketball while she played with her dolls.

Gigi came into town one day and we went to a bounce house.  Joshua enjoyed the book just as much as the jumping!  (His new Cubs shirt finally came.)

We also ventured out to Fiesta Texas one Saturday.  This picture melts my heart!  (Tabby in her new Cubs shirt.)

There was Scooby and Scrappy again.  We stayed for two hours then escaped the heat.

We also have been to a couple graduation parties.  Here we are with the kids!

Oh what fun we've had!  I'll send out birthday pictures once I have them.
