When we go to stores, the kids always see something they want and expect me to get it right then and there. So when we walked into Target and saw Scooby Doo pajamas, I also wanted to purchase them right then and there. Then I thought of the $4 Joshua gets every pay period, and I decided he should save his money. I knew I was risking the fact that they might not be available when he had enough money, but you can get everything on the internet. Tabitha also wanted some princess pajamas so she started saving her $2. (They get a dollar for each year of age.)
It took them two months to save enough. We went to Target and found a princess nightgown, but no Scooby. Thankfully, I already told Joshua that might happen. So with a slightly deflated spirit, we came home and ordered them on the internet. I explained to him how fun it was going to be to get a package in the mailbox. A few days later it arrived!
Here they are after a bath with their brand new pajamas.
